July is the season for big Chicago weddings and events at A Posh Production! This last weekend, A Posh Production had several large scale events to prepare for. Our biggest event yet was at The Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. Four hundred guests were invited to this large scale Chicago wedding. Guests were given White Sox game tickets and a beautiful firework display at dusk to celebrate the marriage.
Set up lasted five hours and took seven Posh employees and lighting specialists to complete it. Fifty purple Chinese lanterns hung from the ceiling surrounded by twenty decorative metal globes. Thirty amber uplights complemented the soft beige walls of the banquet hall. Blue wireless uplights were used for under table lighting and architectural lighting outside on the balcony. The outside columns looked amazing with a blue uplight. Our wireless amber uplights were also placed outside around the gazebo to accentuate the columns. A gobo of the bride and groom’s name illuminated off the driveway and could be seen by guests as they entered the reception. The Odyssey Country Club looked beautiful with all of our lighting and decor.
Lighting was an extensive process at this wedding, but there was still more to do! The bride and groom also requested draping behind the head table and our photo booth at their reception. As usual, the photo booth was a very popular attraction at the wedding!
A Posh Production loves it when they can display their creative side at events. This Chicago wedding definitely warranted an artistic eye. Hanging seventy decorative pieces from the ceiling was no easy task. It called for much attention to detail, skill, and hard work. The final outcome was absolutely breathtaking.
